QATAR'S ECONOMY

Qatar is a country in the Middle East and is the world’s highest per capital income country. It possesses the biggest natural gas field in the world.

According to World Bank, unemployment is almost null, representing 0.14% of the total labour force in 2019. Qatar's own Planning and Statistics Authority (PSA) estimated a 0.1% unemployment rate by the third quarter of 2019, the lowest in the world.

The country’s economic policy focuses on diversification away from the hydrocarbon sector and on establishing Qatar as a regional financial business hub. Qatar will be fully represented during the proposed Middle East – Africa Economic and Investment forum because it is an opportunity to partner and improve its economy through business diversification.

The aim of the Middle East – Africa Economic and Investment Forum as Organized by Globe Chamber of Commerce and Industry is to see that nations’ economies bounce back through business partnership and investment.
